His diverse career roles include a field laborer at Mayacamas Vineyards in Napa Valley, a standout Sommelier at The Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach while achieving his tastevin certification in record time, a 43-year tenure as the General Manager at Bauer Wine & Spirits in Boston, and as the wine purchasing agent for esteemed wine connoisseurs including the Cabot, Coolidge, Spaulding, and Forbes families. Howie's ongoing global exploration of wine regions and his engaging presence as a wine expert on WFNX 101.7FM in the 1990s further showcase his extensive knowledge and culinary expertise.
